Worldwide Cable Installation Expert
Len Gilchrist was born and raised in New South Wales, Australia but is a citizen of the world. With a wealth of experience in cable installation, Len will share some of the knowledge he has acquired over 40 years of field experience installing and maintaining high voltage cable systems around the world.
Len started his career in the mid 1970’s as a high voltage cable manager for Dulmison Australia Ltd supplying, installing, jointing, testing, and commissioning circuits for Fujikura Ltd, a Japanese cable manufacturer. In the mid-1980’s, Len took his talents abroad to Kiribati, Singapore, Kuwait and Egypt.
The early 1990’s took Len to Malaysia (‘90 & ’91 with GEC Malaysia Ltd.) and to India (Delhi ’90 – ’94) with Mitsui & Coy, a Japanese-based company. In the latter part of the 1990’s into the early 2000’s, Len moved his talents to projects on both coasts of the United States.
By 2003, Len headed north to Canada where he worked with such entities as BC Hydro & Power Authority, Kiewit Corporation, & Allteck Line Contractors.
From 2011 to the present, Len has worked in the North American market helping customers such as General Cable, Magna Electric, Viscas Corp, Rockstad Power and JJM Construction.

Charles Cole, Vice President Int’l Division , American Polywater has over 30+ years of experience in providing infrastructure development services and product s for electrical & telecommunication networks and wastewater treatment projects in Asia, Africa and Latin America. Cole uses his knowledge of effective installation practices and optimal design of underground cable system to help minimize project costs and to maximize
system performance for network stakeholders. Cole has interests in statistical modelling and uses them in quantification of uncertainty in project timing and control of financial risks.
